H ‘thema2’ θέλει να μάθει πως λέμε ‘αναπόσπαστο κομμάτι’ στην Αγγλική. Μου παραθέτει αυτή τη φράση (μέσα σε μια εκτενή ερώτηση): «…..που είναι αναπόσπαστο κομμάτι της αυτοκρατορίας….».

Θα έλεγα «…..which is an integral part of the empire…..»

Θα μπορούσα όμως να χρησιμοποιήσω και την ‘καθημερινή’ φράση «…part and parcel…»

part & parcel

δηλαδή «…..which is part and parcel of the empire…..».
