My reply to ‘penfriend12’: Είναι μια μικρή φράση που υποδηλώνει ότι δε γνωρίζουμε (ή αναγνωρίζουμε) κάποιον ή κάποια. Υπάρχει σε χρήση (όχι εκτενώς) πολλά χρόνια.

Elohim Creating Adam 

Ίσως κεντρίζει το ενδιαφέρον επειδή περιέχει τη λέξη ‘Adam’ (Αδάμ).

Μερικάπαραδείγματα:

• He is a total stranger to me. I don’t know him from Adam!
• I’ve been buying bread here for a long time and I’ve never seen the owner. I wouldn’t know him from Adam.
• Who is that young man smiling at us? I don’t know him from Adam.
